According to initial information, it is always the Frostbite (Same Engine used by FIFA) which DICE does not want to call “Frostbite 4”. The developers indicated that Frostbite is being worked on non-stop and that every new game is reaping the benefits of that development, but the Frostbite engine is invariably mentioned by them without a version number.
The new version of the engine has been developed in an important way and allows you to make the most of all the new features of the Next-Gen consoles. The developers are working hard and the feedback on all new games is extremely positive.
Probably this evolved Frostbite was also used for the development of the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S version of FIFA 22, in this way the developers of the series were able to fully exploit all the potential of the new generation consoles.
If this were to be confirmed, one of the most interesting improvements that could have been introduced in FIFA 22 would be the rewriting of physics management from scratch. This would bring significant improvements in the trajectories of the ball and in the dynamics of the contrasts, avoiding game situations in which real chaotic actions could occur.
Of course, in addition to an evolved gameplay, the entire graphics sector and the light effects could also have been significantly improved compared to the version of FIFA 21 released last December for the new generation platforms.
