Whether it\u2019s Manchester City climbing to the top of the Premier \nLeague or Paris Saint-Germain to the top of Ligue 1, the payoff for \nreaching the top is unequivocal. We\u2019re looking to recreate that magic \nand rework our Leaderboards from the ground up to better reflect the \neffort that a player puts in, and give more opportunities for players to\n reach impactful milestones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here, we\u2019ll go over the high-level \ndetails you\u2019ll want to know to make the most of the Leaderboards and \nunderstand how they work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reward Tiers are \nsomething that players in the top 250 of the VSA and H2H Leaderboards \nare familiar with, but it\u2019s not very transparent that there are cutoffs,\n or what you earn for being there. Now, there will be clearly defined \nReward Tiers throughout the entire Leaderboard, with different rewards \ndepending on how high of a Reward Tier you\u2019re in. 1st place will earn \nthe best rewards, a small group of top players (e.g. top 50) will earn \nsecondary level rewards, a larger group further down (e.g. top 25%) will\n earn tertiary rewards, and so on and so forth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\n are various ways that players are able to earn Score for the \nLeaderboards they participate in, as well as ways to modify the amount \nearned. Since every event is different, the ways to earn Score for the \nLeaderboards will change based on the event. Sometimes, it\u2019ll be based \non an amount of wins, sometimes it\u2019ll be based on earning different \namounts based on the outcome of a match. And sometimes you\u2019ll earn more \nbased on the players you build your team with when engaging with the \nevent. Ultimately, the better you perform in events and align with the \nScore bonuses, the more Score you\u2019ll earn and the higher you\u2019ll reach on\n the leaderboard!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unlike\n previous seasons, Leaderboards are no longer exclusively a global event\n with everyone playing the game competing against each other. While \nthose will still frequently be a part of the game, we\u2019ll now also have \nsmaller Leaderboards where players will fight for top spots in a more \nlevel playing field. Examples of this would come from competing with \neveryone that\u2019s in the same VSA division as you, or competing with only \n1,000 other people that have a similar OVR. On top of that, a single \nevent may have multiple different types of Leaderboards all going on at \nthe same time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With some Events lasting\n only a few days, and some lasting weeks, we wanted to get our \nLeaderboards to align with this, and, as a result, you\u2019ll be seeing \nLeaderboards of all different lengths! Sometimes you\u2019ll see a \nLeaderboard spanning the entire event and granting rewards only after \nit\u2019s over. Other times you\u2019ll have a leaderboard that reoccurs every \nweek!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While many people will \nwant their rewards for their hard-earned effort as soon as possible, \nplayers can expect to see delays to when the rewards are distributed. \nWe\u2019ll be taking some time at the end of some of our Leaderboards to keep\n the integrity of the Leaderboard intact; we want to try and only reward\n the users that earn through valid and fair play. We\u2019ve heard your \ncomplaints regarding fair play on Leaderboards and we\u2019ll be working hard\n to make sure the integrity of the new Leaderboards are kept up to a \nhigher standard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
