{"id":11007,"date":"2019-09-20T11:55:18","date_gmt":"2019-09-20T10:55:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/?p=11007"},"modified":"2019-09-20T11:55:20","modified_gmt":"2019-09-20T10:55:20","slug":"fifa-20-squad-battles-official-details","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/fifa-20-squad-battles-official-details\/","title":{"rendered":"FIFA 20: Squad Battles &#8211; Official Details"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through a press release, <strong>EA Sports<\/strong> has announced the official details regarding the contents of the <strong>Squad Battles<\/strong> mode that allows you to face the roses of the <strong>FUT<\/strong> community off-line gamers and get prizes based on the weekly placement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What&#8217;s Squad Battles?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take on AI-controlled squads from the FUT community to earn Battle Points, move up the leaderboards, and earn rewards.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Weekly competition matches<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are weekly competition matches?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Weekly competition matches are the 40 matches that you play each week that count towards your Battle Points score for that week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do matches work in Squad Battles?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In\n FUT 20, you will now be able to play Squad Battles as much as you want.\n Matches are separated into weekly competition matches and other \nmatches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any matches you play after the 40 weekly competition \nmatches do not contribute towards your weekly score, but you will still \nearn normal match Coins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Battle Points<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are Battle Points?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Battle\n Points are earned at the end of each of the first 40 Squad Battles \nmatches each week, which make up your weekly competition matches. They \nare used to determine your Rank in the weekly Squad Battles competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please\n note that if you choose to end a match early or to not play a match by \nrefreshing and it\u2019s part of your first 40 weekly competition matches, \nyou will not earn any Battle Points from that match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you determine how many Battle Points I get at the end of a match?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\n formula is a little different depending on the outcome of the match, \nwhether you won the game or lost it. You can check them out below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once\n you\u2019ve played your first 40 competition matches for the week, any other\n matches you play that week will not earn you Battle Points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Featured\n Squad Battles don\u2019t use these formulas. However, you can find out how \nBattle Points are awarded for those Squads further down in this article.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One  thing to note: if there are decimal places in the final Battle Points  result, the value is always rounded up. This is reflected in the  examples of the calculations here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Win formula<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This only applies in a Squad Battles Match that you win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[(Team Rating Score Win + Match Result + Skill Coins) * Win Difficulty Modifier] + (Goals For * Goals Difficulty Modifier)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s how the win formula is broken down:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Team Rating Score Win<ul><li>This value is created using this equation:<\/li><li>(Team Rating * 3) + (Chemistry Rating \/ 2)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Match Result<ul><li>This value is different if you win or lose. Since this formula is for a win, this value will be 200.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Skill Coins<ul><li>This\n is the value you are shown at the end of the match. It calculates how \nmany FUT Coins you get for various actions, like scoring goals. You lost the game, scored 2\n goals, and received 145 Skill Coins, so you\u2019d turn the formula:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[(Team Rating Score Loss + Match Result + Skill Coins) * Loss Difficulty Modifier] + (Goals For * Goals Difficulty Modifier)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Into this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[(304 + 50 + 145) * 0.5] + (80 * 1.5) = 370 Battle Points<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Featured Squad Battles and Team of the Week Squads<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Featured\n Squad Battles are special matches where you can play against Squads \ncreated by members of the FIFA and football community, such as real \nfootballers, celebrities, or FIFA pro players. You can replay Featured \nSquads to improve your score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not every weekly competition in Squad Battles will have a Featured Squad Battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New\n this year in FIFA 20, Team of the Week (TOTW) Squads will now function \nlike a Featured Squad. Each week you\u2019ll be able to compete against the \nTOTW to earn Battle Points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The amount of Battle Points earned for  playing a Featured Squad Battle or TOTW Squad match is not the same as  you would earn for a normal Squad Battle match. Instead, the number of  Battle Points you earn is based on whether you win or lose the game, and  what difficulty you played the match on. The specific Battle Point  values are below:      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table\"><tbody><tr><td>Difficult LEVEL<\/td><td>Win<\/td><td>Lose<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Beginner<\/td><td>1500<\/td><td>1400<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Amateur<\/td><td>1550<\/td><td>1400<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Semi -Pro<\/td><td>1600<\/td><td>1400<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Pro<\/td><td>1700<\/td><td>1400<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>World Clas<\/td><td>1800<\/td><td>1400<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Legendary<\/td><td>1900<\/td><td>1400<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Ultimate<\/td><td>2000<\/td><td>1400<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Squad Battles ranking system<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How does ranking in Squad Battles work?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Squad Battles, the Battle Points you earn during the week determines your Rank in the weekly competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each Rank can only hold a certain percentage of the players competing in Squad Battles during the current weekly competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To\n get the highest rank, you will need to earn more Battle Points than all\n other players in the weekly competition. The percentage breakdown of \neach Rank can be seen in-game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are one of the Top 100 \nplayers in a weekly Squad Battles competition, you\u2019ll earn rewards based\n on your position in the Top 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Does that mean I can change Ranks even if I haven\u2019t done anything?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes,\n you can. If you start off playing Squad Battles matches early in the \nweek and earn a lot of Battle Points, you might initially be in a top \nRank. But if you don\u2019t continue playing matches throughout the rest of \nthe week or earn less Battle Points, other players could still be \nplaying and earning Battle Points. That means your Rank could drop, if \nthey out-earn you and move up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the flip side, you could also move up a Rank if players don\u2019t out-earn you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How often do the leaderboards update?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The leaderboard updates roughly every five minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>When do I get my rewards?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ll get your rewards shortly after the event ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Opponent selection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where do my opponents in Squad Battles come from?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your&nbsp;\n AI-controlled opponents in Squad Battles come from the real Squads used\n by other players in FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT). Specifically, Squads that\n were used by players when playing Squad Battles, Draft (Online and \nOffline), FUT Champions, and Division Rivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you choose the opponents?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When\n a set of opponents is provided, either at the start of a new Squad \nBattles competition or when you perform an Opponent Update, we always \nprovide one Squad from each of our three Squad difficulty buckets: Easy,\n Medium, and Hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then we select a fourth Squad from either the Easy or Medium buckets, with a 50% chance of the Squad coming from either bucket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How are the Squads\u2019 difficulties determined?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each\n Squad in FUT has both a Team Rating value and a Chemistry value. When \nthose values are added together, you end up with an Overall Squad \nRating. Each of our difficulty buckets in Squad Battles contains a range\n of Overall Squad Ratings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Easy = 0-140<\/li><li>Medium = 141-182<\/li><li>Hard = 183+<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Squad refreshes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do refreshes work in FIFA 20?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Previously in FIFA 19, Squad refreshes were time-based, so you could only ever play 44 matches throughout the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But\n this year in FIFA 20, you are now in control of when you refresh, \ngiving you the choice of when you want to play your Squad Battles \nmatches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that if you refresh but have not yet \ncompleted the four matches that are available, the unplayed matches will\n still count towards your 40 competitive matches for the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Can I reset my refreshes?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No, if you refresh and skip matches that count towards your 40 competitive matches for the week, you cannot get those back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FIFA 20<\/strong> is available from September 27, 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC,  Nintendo Switch.
