So, what inspired the Real Madrid star to move into the world of eSports?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy interest in eSports started about two years ago watching Ninja  stream Fortnite and I naturally progressed to watching FIFA and the <strong>FIFA Global Series<\/strong>,\u201d  said Bale. \u201cThe competitive side was fascinating, so I decided I wanted  to provide an opportunity for gamers who take eSports seriously and  want to play for a professional organisation at the highest level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am fortunate enough to have been a professional footballer from a  young age playing at some of the world\u2019s best clubs and I feel there are  lots of similarities between real life sport and eSports. I want to  provide the best professional environment for gamers around the world  and build an eSports legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"WE ARE ELLEVENS ESPORTS\" width=\"1240\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WW_F4MTYQ_Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The expansion of the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series ecosystem \nlast decade saw renowned football clubs establish eSport divisions, \nincluding the likes of Manchester City, AS Roma and Olympique Lyonnais, \nwho will be competing at this week\u2019s eClub World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The demand for competitive FIFA would later give rise to domestic \nleagues and international tournaments \u2013 from the ePremier League and \nVirtual La Liga to 24 Member Associations endorsing their own national \nteams to compete at the inaugural FIFA eNations Cup\u2122 last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bale joins high-profile names such as Mesut Ozil, Christian Fuchs and\n Ruud Guillt by venturing into the virtual side of football with eSports\n team ownership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOn the pitch, my goal is always to win. With Ellevens eSports, that \nwinning attitude is just as important,\u201d said Bale. \u201cThere are \nsimilarities between football and eSports in that it takes real \ndedication and sacrifice to reach the top of your game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI&#8217;m really excited to now have my own team and I&#8217;m looking forward  to Ellevens competing in major eSports events all over the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/bale.jpg\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/bale-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14812\"><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The journey to global glory<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bale\u2019s Ellevens will be looking to \u2018PResende7\u2019 and \u2018EthxnH\u2019 to guide them to eClub World Cup success this week in Milan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brazil\u2019s \u2018PResende7\u2019 is a seasoned competitor who has played at the \nlast two FIFA eWorld Cup\u2122 Grand Finals, the biggest stage of competitive\n EA SPORTS FIFA, while the UK\u2019s \u2018EthxnH\u2019 has been enjoying a breakout \ncampaign this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt&#8217;s an honour to be part of Ellevens. Even though we&#8217;re new in the \nscene, we already have a very strong team,\u201d said \u2018PResende7\u2019. &#8220;Having \nGareth Bale involved brings a lot of attention which is really exciting.\n Hopefully we&#8217;ll deliver our fans a number of championship titles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFans can expect to see Ellevens be one of the best teams in the  world,&#8221; said \u2018EthxnH\u2019. &#8220;Having Gareth Bale as co-owner is amazing as  it\u2019s a completely new experience for all of us players.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/bale2.jpg\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/bale2-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14813\"><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having lifted three Club World Cup trophies with Real Madrid, not\n to mention winning the adidas Golden Ball at the 2018 edition of the \ntournament, Bale can naturally speak with authority when it comes to \ncompeting &#8211; and succeeding &#8211; on the international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His advice to those in the Ellevens eSports ranks and those hoping to be a part of it? Savour the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Whatever you do in life you have to enjoy it so do your best, practice as much as you can and the rest will follow,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;One of the aspects I love about eSports is that it brings people  together &#8211; it allows anyone in the world to try out for Ellevens  eSports.
