{"id":15409,"date":"2020-02-23T18:18:28","date_gmt":"2020-02-23T18:18:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/?p=15409"},"modified":"2020-02-23T18:18:29","modified_gmt":"2020-02-23T18:18:29","slug":"fifa-20-conmebol-threatens-to-ban-some-clubs-from-libertadores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/fifa-20-conmebol-threatens-to-ban-some-clubs-from-libertadores\/","title":{"rendered":"FIFA 20: Conmebol threatens to ban some clubs from Libertadores"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to what was disclosed by <strong>ESPN Brazil<\/strong>, the South American football federation <strong>Conmebol <\/strong>has threatened to exclude from the continental event ( <strong>Libertadores <\/strong>) the clubs that will not consent to the use of their rights in favor of <strong>EA Sports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several clubs across the continent have exclusive contracts with the software house, <strong>Konami<\/strong>, producer of <strong>Pro Evolution Soccer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2020, Conmebol has signed an exclusive contract for the use of competition rights with EA Sports and has forced all clubs to release their commercial and naming rights for the FIFA series, threatening to exclude from Copa Libertadores and Copa South American clubs that will not respect this will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ESPN Brasil sources confirmed that <strong>Athletico-PR<\/strong>, <strong>Atletico-MG<\/strong>, <strong>Corinthians<\/strong>, <strong>Palmeiras <\/strong>and <strong>Sao Paulo<\/strong> have not yet signed, effectively questioning their participation in the next competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will continue to follow the story and will not fail to update you on the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FIFA 20<\/strong> is available from September 27, 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC,  Nintendo Switch.
