{"id":16185,"date":"2020-03-19T23:45:21","date_gmt":"2020-03-19T23:45:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/?p=16185"},"modified":"2020-03-19T23:45:25","modified_gmt":"2020-03-19T23:45:25","slug":"fifa-20-ea-suspends-all-global-series-events-indefinitely","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/fifa-20-ea-suspends-all-global-series-events-indefinitely\/","title":{"rendered":"FIFA 20: EA suspends all Global Series events indefinitely"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Electronic Arts<\/strong> has announced the suspension all<strong> EA SPORTS FIFA 20<\/strong> Global Series events until further notice due the continued impact of <strong>COVID-19<\/strong> around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This includes EA-operated events, as well as <strong>third-party events<\/strong> run <strong>under license<\/strong> from <strong>EA <\/strong>and encompasses all live and online events,  including the associated qualifiers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;Our decision is driven to ensure the safety of our competitors, staff  and partners as well as ensuring the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series  does not contribute to the spread of the pandemic.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>As we  continue to monitor the situation around the coronavirus and receive  updated guidance from health officials around the world, we will use  this time to determine next steps for moving forward with all of EA\u2019s  Competitive Gaming live events and online broadcasts.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This is an unprecedented time. With so many changes happening around the  world to limit the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, we are now announcing that we\u2019re suspending all live events for EA\u2019s competitive  gaming series, including the Apex Legends Global Series, EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series, FIFA Online 4 Live Events and Madden NFL 20 Championship Series. This includes EA-operated events as well as  third-party events run under license from EA. Additionally, this  includes all competitive gaming content except for broadcasts that can  be individually produced remotely. Online events, where participants and  staff are remote and separated will continue. This suspension of events  and broadcasts will start today, March 13th, and will be in effect  until the global coronavirus situation improves. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Our priority is protecting our competitors, our employees, our  partner\u2019s employees and our communities. As we continue to monitor the  situation around the coronavirus and receive updated guidance from  health officials around the world, we will use this time to determine  next steps for moving forward with all of EA\u2019s Competitive Gaming live  events and online broadcasts.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Thank you for understanding.
