For years, at the end of the life cycle of each chapter of the series, Professionals, Pro Gamers and Amateur Gamers find themselves repeating the same thought: “A promising start that suggests that EA <\/strong>has finally taken the right path to make the series a real simulation<\/strong>, after a series of updates the final product always leaves a sensation of disappointment which becomes heavier with each patch. “<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 8 months<\/strong> there has been a progressive transition from a simulation <\/strong>to a totally arcade game<\/strong>. This upsets the gaming experience, which from a satisfying first phase, culminates in a phase of frustration and a sense of helplessness, always finding the same identical situations in every game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Canadian software house has not managed to find the right balance that allows each game to be a unique and always different experience. Without going so far with FIFA 19<\/strong> we attended the Croqueta <\/strong>and Tornado <\/strong>festival, while in FIFA 20 we attended the Drag Back<\/strong> festival. Skills that have now become a more than occasional dominant component in FIFA games, an endless series of skills even in unavailable areas of the field and even when they are practically useless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the FIFA 20<\/strong> release we finally saw for the first time a non-predominant CPU<\/strong> in the different game phases. What most impressed everyone was the lack of effectiveness in the defensive phase of the CPU <\/strong>that forced gamers of any level to defend by selecting the players in the different areas of the field and to have a fair ability with the players switch. Unfortunately with the various patches we have witnessed a drastic involution that has brought the CPU <\/strong>back to dominance in the defensive phase. Result? Practically a FIFA 19 2.0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does this series need to return to being unquestionably the best in the videogame scene?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gameplay…..<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Balanced, where no module should be predominant (in the last two years now the 4231 <\/strong>has been too overpowering giving advantages in all areas of the field compared to almost all other modules). Skills are also nice, but if you want a simulation you cannot always see the same skill repeated hundreds of times in every single game. A CPU <\/strong>definitively ousted in favor of the individual qualities of the individual gamer and finally, but certainly not least, to give the right balance to the characteristics of the players who play on the pitch. For too many years, speed <\/strong>and agility <\/strong>are the only useful qualities; When will we ever be able to use players like Lukaku<\/strong>, Drogba<\/strong>, Busquets <\/strong>in meta who make physicality their winning weapon?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Career…..<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It must be heavily revisited to be able to convey more real sensations during the evolution of the season. The short interactive conference cut-scenes that leave the time they find are no longer enough. Ultimately on the field the morale of the team does not make a big difference on the performance of the individual indeed to say it all affects zero. An evolution that could foresee a story within the career itself with new scenarios (for example procedural ones) that could really affect the progress of the season or the conclusion of a market negotiation or the permanence on the bench of your team. A refresh to the menus that have been identical for too long, not only a graphic but also a structural change that allows easy access to key areas for team management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pro Clubs…..<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By now it has become obsolete like the career, a modality that by now is a copy brought back with no major news from one chapter to another of the series. A modality with great potential able to create an alchemy in the community which today due to the high level of FUT has totally disappeared and has left space only to hatred and hatred among users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graphic……<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the graphic point of view we expect, like every year, an improvement in the animations that must be even more fluid and natural. If, however, on PS4 <\/strong>and One s<\/strong> the differences will be truly negligible, we expect a nice leap forward for the Next gen ( Ps5 <\/strong>and Series X<\/strong> ) perhaps with attached Smart Delivery<\/strong> ( already confirmed for Madden 21<\/strong> ) which would allow us to buy the game on Current Gen and then switch to Next Gen without additional cash outlay. Of course, it is obvious to expect 4K <\/strong>and 60 Fps<\/strong> and why not Ray Tracing<\/strong> considering that FIFA <\/strong>has never been a resource eater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
