After the controversy triggered by the Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic<\/strong><\/a> and his agent Mino Raiola<\/strong><\/a>, an official note from FIFPro<\/strong> has finally arrived released through the pages of the Mirror<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even after the official announcements released by EA Sports<\/strong><\/a>, to clarify the story, the agent of the AC Milan<\/strong> striker had fueled the criticism by releasing important statements to The Telegraph<\/strong>, stating that over 300 players<\/strong> are ready<\/a> to take legal action against the Canadian software house and the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale des Associations de Footballeurs Professionnels<\/strong>.\u00f9<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it now seems that the affair should end in court, today the FIFPro <\/strong>press release arrived in which he declared that he wanted to present all the documentation to the parties concerned and that he wanted to definitively close the matter in a “peaceful”<\/strong> way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In light of recent media reports, FIFPRO <\/strong>wishes to clarify the manner in which it obtains the image rights of players, and its role in defending the employment rights of professional footballers worldwide.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FIFPRO<\/strong>, a not-for-profit organisation, acquires image rights via player unions in nearly 60 countries. These rights are made available to Electronic Arts and other clients in the video gaming industry.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FIFPRO<\/strong>\u2019s relationship with the video gaming companies complements separate arrangements they directly agree with clubs, leagues, governing bodies and individual players.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FIFPRO <\/strong>member unions decide how best to use the revenue generated, either by distributing funds directly among players or providing services in kind such as legal advice, second-career planning and mental and physical assistance.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FIFPro <\/strong>is reaching out to the players and their representation that have recently raised concerns so we can address their questions.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apparently FIFPro <\/strong>has already started the procedure to contact all the players involved in the affair to provide them with the necessary documentation and guarantees on the validity of the contracts stipulated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
