Apparently,<\/strong> the negotiations for the renewal of the contract, expiring in 2022, with the <strong>Federation Internationale de Football Associatio<\/strong>n are not progressing well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The confirmation comes from the registration of the trademark of<strong> EA Sports FC <\/strong>by the Canadian software house. On <a href=\"https:\/\/trademarks.ipo.gov.uk\/ipo-tmcase\/page\/Results\/1\/UK00003705955\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>1 October<\/strong> it was registered at the <strong>UK Intellectual Property Office<\/strong><\/a> and on <a href=\"https:\/\/euipo.europa.eu\/eSearch\/#details\/trademarks\/018571137\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>4 October<\/strong> at the <strong>European Union Intellectual Property Office.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This stance could also be just a precaution in case of need, at the moment Electronic Arts has not confirmed that the series will change its name but has only stated that this possibility is being evaluated.
