{"id":34766,"date":"2021-11-06T18:43:34","date_gmt":"2021-11-06T18:43:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/?p=34766"},"modified":"2021-11-07T11:21:42","modified_gmt":"2021-11-07T11:21:42","slug":"fifa-22-ea-sports-may-be-forced-to-remove-diego-armando-maradona-from-fut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/fifa-22-ea-sports-may-be-forced-to-remove-diego-armando-maradona-from-fut\/","title":{"rendered":"FIFA 22: EA Sports may be forced to remove Diego Armando Maradona from FUT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Federal judge <strong>Marcelo Gota<\/strong> has issued a ruling that &#8220;orders&#8221; <strong>EA Sports<\/strong> to remove all references of <strong>Diego Armando Maradana<\/strong> from the <strong>FIFA <\/strong>series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The close legal diatribe that is taking place for the control of image rights and the legacy of <strong>Diego Armando Maradona<\/strong> also involves <strong>Electronic Arts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Argentine court agreed with Sattvica&#8217;s lawyers, consequently issuing a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1TAvilrleKzg2IXPV1IFt_2vkJ1pM334B\/view\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sentence <\/a><\/strong>with the <em>&#8220;request to the companies concerned to refrain from using the trademark on their interactive content distribution platforms, such as <strong>FIFA 22, FIFA Ultimate Team, FIFA Street, FIFA World Class Soccer, Football Manager<\/strong> and as <strong>EA&#8217;s Ultimate Player<\/strong> &#8220;<\/em>, at the same time as the immediate conclusion of any advertising activity linked to <strong>Maradona&#8217;s IP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the moment EA Sports has not issued any official release.
