{"id":4406,"date":"2019-01-29T11:01:59","date_gmt":"2019-01-29T11:01:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/?p=4406"},"modified":"2019-01-29T11:44:27","modified_gmt":"2019-01-29T11:44:27","slug":"fifa-19-ea-no-longer-offers-fifa-points-in-belgium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/fifa-19-ea-no-longer-offers-fifa-points-in-belgium\/","title":{"rendered":"FIFA 19: EA no longer offers FIFA points in Belgium"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>EA Sports<\/strong> has issued an official statement to inform the community that starting from 31st January 2019 it will no longer be possible to buy FIFA Points for all those residing in Belgium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This decision could create a precedent and EA Sports could soon be forced to act in the same way in other countries as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After further discussions with the Belgian authorities, we have \ndecided to stop offering FIFA Points for sale in Belgium.&nbsp; We\u2019re working\n to make these changes effective in our FIFA console and PC games by \nJanuary 31, 2019.&nbsp; This means that players in Belgium will not be able \nto purchase points to obtain FIFA Ultimate Team packs.&nbsp; Players still \ncan access Ultimate Team and play with their existing players.&nbsp; All \ncontent in the game can be earned through gameplay, as has always been \nthe case, and players can continue to use coins and the in-game transfer\n market.&nbsp; Any players in Belgium that have existing FIFA Points in their\n accounts can continue to use them, but they will not be able to \npurchase more.&nbsp; We apologize to our players in Belgium for any \ninconvenience caused by this change.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We seek to bring choice, fairness, value and fun to our players in \nall our games.&nbsp; In addition to providing players options in how they \nplay, we include pack probabilities in our games for the transparency \nplayers want to make informed content choices.&nbsp; While we are taking this\n action, we do not agree with Belgian authorities\u2019 interpretation of the\n law, and we will continue to seek more clarity on the matter as we go \nforward. The impact of this change to FIFA Ultimate Team in Belgium is \nnot material to our financial performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FIFA 19<\/strong> is available from September 28, 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch.
