Here&#8217;s everything that changes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year we set out to make Set Pieces more rewarding and intuitive for players of all skill levels. With new systems, we are looking to provide players with more precise control over how the ball travels to its target.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Free Kicks and Corner Kicks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Free Kicks<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Corner Kicks<\/strong>&nbsp;now share their functionality with a more intuitive approach in which you choose where the player strikes the ball. We want to make Free Kicks and Corner Kicks feel and act more like their real world counterparts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the&nbsp;<strong>Left Stick<\/strong>, you can pan the camera, changing the kick direction. With the&nbsp;<strong>Right Stick<\/strong>, you control a reticle behind the ball that allows you to determine curl, elevation and the style of kick you want. There is a small trajectory line that displays a preview of how the ball will travel for the first few meters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"FIFA 23 Pitch Notes: Set Pieces\" width=\"1240\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NYmHw6vj460?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following player Attributes are used for the new Free Kick and Corner Kick system:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Curve&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211; Determines max possible ball trajectory curve.<ul><li>Players with a higher Curve Attribute have a higher maximum amount of side and top\/back spin that can be applied to the ball.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Shot Power<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Determines ball travel speed.<\/li><li><strong>Crossing<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Determines max elevation in Corner Kick and Free Kick lob passes, making them more controlled without compromising speed.<ul><li>Players with a higher Crossing Attribute can perform higher powered lobs with a lesser accuracy impact.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Free Kick Accuracy<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Determines max elevation in any Free Kick shot, making them more controlled without compromising speed.<ul><li>Players with a higher Free Kick Accuracy Attribute can perform higher powered shots with a lesser accuracy impact.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lying Down Behind Wall<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since trying to shoot underneath the wall is a more viable option in FIFA 23, we are giving players a new tool to defend against these kinds of Free Kicks. When defending, players now have the ability to lie down behind the wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Similar to adding a player to the wall, players can use the Left Stick to approach the back of the wall with the player. Note that only one player can lie down at a time.<\/li><li>To remove the player, players can move the Left Stick away from the wall when controlling the lying down player.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"FIFA 23 Pitch Notes: Lying Down Behind Wall\" width=\"1240\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tRdNTWd1kiI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Penalty Kicks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Along with Free Kicks and Corners we also refreshed Penalty Kicks in FIFA 23. We want to make penalties feel more rewarding than before with the player\u2019s Composure being a big focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now when you step up to the spot you will see a shrinking&nbsp;<strong>Composure Ring<\/strong>&nbsp;that is based on your player\u2019s Composure Attribute. Ideally, you want to time your shot when the ring is at its smallest, just as it touches the perimeter of the ball, in order to take a penalty kick with great accuracy and power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the&nbsp;<strong>Left Stick<\/strong>&nbsp;to aim your shot, and don\u2019t worry about going past the net because you are not seeing a reticle. We set your aim to within the net, about 3 feet from the posts, and your aim is fixed so no need to hold the position you want as the aim won\u2019t recenter. Our intent here is to allow you to focus more on timing and powering your kick.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"FIFA 23 Pitch Notes: Penalty Kicks\" width=\"1240\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/STqGynn8sVM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main factors to consider when taking penalties include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Composure Ring<\/strong><ul><li><strong>Composure Attribute<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Composure plays a big part in how fast the ring shrinks and how large the perfect timing window is.<\/li><li>Composure Ring timing is essential to keeping your shot on target and maintaining accuracy.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Shot Precision<\/strong><ul><li><strong>Penalty Attribute<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Impacts the quality of shot placement.<\/li><li><strong>Shot Power Attribute<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Impacts power and how far to the sides of the goal a shot can reach.&nbsp;<ul><li>Be careful, overpowering a shot could mean missing the goal completely.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>You cannot aim directly at the edges of the posts, so use the above points to help bring your shot to hard-to-reach places for the goalkeeper.<\/li><li>We removed Timed Finishing from Penalties, so there is no longer any need for a second button press after locking in your shot.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We remind you that by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/ea-sports-fc-24-pre-order-amazon-are-now-open-on-the-uk-website\/\" title=\"\"><strong>Pre Order<\/strong> the <strong>Ultimate and Standard Edition of EA SPORTS FC 24<\/strong><\/a> on the <strong>PlayStation 4 <\/strong>or <strong>Xbox One<\/strong> system you can get the version for the equivalent new generation console <strong>(Xbox Series X <\/strong>or <strong>PlayStation 5<\/strong> system) at no additional cost thanks to the<strong> Dual Entitlement service.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/fifa-23-all-official-pre-order-bonus-and-release-date-revealed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/pre-order-fifa-23-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48227\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FIFA 23<\/strong> is available from <strong>September 30th <\/strong>on <strong>PlayStation 5<\/strong>,<strong> Xbox Series X<\/strong>, <strong>PlayStation 4<\/strong>, <strong>Xbox One<\/strong>, <strong>PC<\/strong>, <strong>Steam <\/strong>and <strong>Nintendo Switch<\/strong>.
