{"id":5509,"date":"2019-03-19T14:17:28","date_gmt":"2019-03-19T14:17:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/?p=5509"},"modified":"2019-03-19T14:17:29","modified_gmt":"2019-03-19T14:17:29","slug":"fifa-19-ea-announces-participating-countries-and-host-city-for-inaugural-fifa-enations-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/fifa-19-ea-announces-participating-countries-and-host-city-for-inaugural-fifa-enations-cup\/","title":{"rendered":"FIFA 19 : EA Announces participating countries and Host City for inaugural FIFA eNations Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, FIFA confirmed the full line-up of participating countries who will compete at the first-ever FIFA eNations Cup, as well as the Host City for the inaugural event taking place next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As one of the major events in the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series, \nthe FIFA eNations Cup is a new addition by FIFA to this season\u2019s \nprofessional eFootball calendar and will feature 20 national teams from \nall six confederations (Concacaf, CONMEBOL, CAF, OFC, AFC and UEFA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to international glory and a prize pool of USD 100,000 at  stake for the teams, players selected by their member association for  the FIFA eNations Cup 2019 will also have the chance to win up to 1,500  EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series points, providing them with an  opportunity to move up the FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings and take a significant step forward on the Road to the FIFA eWorld Cup\u2122 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following a thorough and extensive evaluation and invitation process \nconducted by FIFA for the inaugural event, the 20 countries confirmed to\n participate in the FIFA eNations Cup 2019 are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Argentina<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Australia<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Brazil<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>China PR<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Denmark<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>England (host country)<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Finland<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>France<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Germany<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Mexico<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Netherlands<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>New Zealand<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Norway<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Portugal<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Saudi Arabia<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>South Africa<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Spain<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Sweden<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Russia<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>USA<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, London has also been confirmed by FIFA as host and the \ntournament will be broadcast by the Media Rights Licensees for the \nevent. It will also be streamed live across FIFA\u2019s digital channels on \n13 and 14 April 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/D18WxdfXcAAAUA4-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5512\"><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christian Volk, Director of eFootball and &amp; Gaming at FIFA, said:\n \u201cWith 20 of the world\u2019s best eFootball nations going head-to-head, this\n year\u2019s inaugural FIFA eNations Cup will provide another great example \nof the passion and excitement that eFootball has to offer, as well as \nproviding the chance for players and member associations to compete for \nnational pride and international glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFollowing unprecedented interest received in the event, the decision\n to expand the FIFA eNations Cup from 16 to 20 teams will allow more \nmember associations with a chance to compete at on an international \nstage in eFootball, as well as providing an important stepping stone for\n FIFA to continue growing and developing eFootball and the FIFA eNations\n Cup for member associations and the wider eFootball community in the \nfuture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the format of the first-ever FIFA eNations Cup, \nparticipating countries and players will compete in individual (1v1) and\n team (2v2) matches on both Xbox and PlayStation during the group stage,\n with the top two nations in each of the four groups progressing through\n to the knockout stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volk concluded: \u201cFollowing the successful implementation at the \nrecent FIFA eClub World Cup\u2122 last month, we are hugely excited that the \n2v2 team format will return and be part of the first-ever FIFA eNations \nCup. The new 2v2 match format is another important innovation for the \nsport of eFootball this season and will add further drama \u2013 as well as \nanother dynamic \u2013 to the event during what will be an exciting two-day \nexhibition of some of the best eFootball in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The qualification process for national teams competing at the FIFA eNations Cup will be run by member associations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FIFA 19<\/strong> is available from September 28, 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch.
