On the 24th of July, the well-known <\/strong>Insiders FUT Scoreboard<\/strong> leaked the design of a new Icon card,<\/strong><\/a> which was a mix between the classic Icon card<\/strong> and the special End Of An Era card<\/strong>. Everything seemed to suggest that they were releasing new Icon cards dedicated to footballers who retired this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, just a few minutes ago, the FUT Scoreboard<\/strong> rectified the leak, stating that the card’s name in question is “Cover Star Icon.”<\/strong> This new name changes everything. In fact, these new special cards could be dedicated to Icon players who have been featured on the cover of FIFA <\/strong>in different years, celebrating the end of an era of FIFA<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Official Update July 27 6:20 pm – <\/strong>Join us in looking back at some of the most iconic Cover Stars<\/strong> in history with the introduction of Cover Star Icons<\/strong>. Cover Star ICONs will NOT be available in packs and will only be released via SBCs or Objectives.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

As we know, this era ends this year with the relationship with EA Sport<\/strong>, making way for the new EA SPORTS FC 24<\/strong> denomination. Among the various names that could be part of the promotion, we could see Henry, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Del Piero, Ginola, Beckham, Rooney,<\/strong> etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, they might be available in Packs <\/strong>during the Futties promotion, or players could obtain them through Squad Building Challenges (SBCs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Undoubtedly, these cards sound interesting, and we will keep you updated as soon as we have official news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name of the card has now changed in \u201cCOVER STAR ICON\u201d. Given the design that recalls end of an era (the era of FIFA is actually ending) and new name it could be something related to the icons who appeared on the cover of FIFA during the years.
