{"id":71441,"date":"2024-06-21T13:11:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-21T12:11:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/?p=71441"},"modified":"2024-06-21T13:16:28","modified_gmt":"2024-06-21T12:16:28","slug":"ea-fc-24-vidic-greats-of-the-game-icon-receives-upgrade-by-mistake-and-the-community-protests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/ea-fc-24-vidic-greats-of-the-game-icon-receives-upgrade-by-mistake-and-the-community-protests\/","title":{"rendered":"EA FC 24 Vidic Greats Of The Game Icon Receives Upgrade By Mistake And The Community Protests"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On June 14th, Electronic Arts released the <strong>Icon cards<\/strong> for the <strong>Greats Of The Game<\/strong> team in the Ultimate Team mode of the football simulator <strong>EA Sports FC 24<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These special cards can receive <strong>overall and stats upgrades<\/strong> based on the performance of their respective national teams during <strong>Euro 2024 or Copa America, <\/strong>which are currently ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As is customary, the Canadian software house released the upgrades at the end of yesterday&#8217;s matches but made an <strong>error <\/strong>with the special version of former defender <strong>Nemanja Vidi\u0107<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Electronic Arts was supposed to upgrade the card of former full-back <strong>Joan Capdevila<\/strong>, not the Serbian&#8217;s. Indeed, <strong>Serbia <\/strong>only scored one goal in their match against <strong>Slovenia<\/strong>, which is not enough to meet one of the pre-set objectives for the promo. On the other hand, <strong>Spain <\/strong>achieved the objective with their goal against Italy, so the upgrade should have been applied to the Spanish player\u2019s card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This mistake caused changes in the market prices of the cards. Those who decided to sell the Serbian&#8217;s card after the matches then discovered that its price had increased by around <strong>500,000 coins<\/strong> due to an upgrade that was not supposed to be released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fifaultimateteam.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Cover-Vidic-Greats-Of-Game-Icon-Upgrade-Fc-24.jpg\" alt=\"EA FC 24 VIDIC GOTG\" class=\"wp-image-71442\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Canadian software house has not yet issued an official statement, but based on past incidents, we can anticipate that the Spanish player&#8217;s card will receive the scheduled upgrade as planned.
