As we write this piece, voting is currently live on the German club\u2019s site<\/strong><\/a>. Fans are being asked to decide who will be the very first to receive this special card. The candidates are former German midfielder Stefan Effenberg<\/strong>, Brazilian striker Giovane \u00c9lber<\/strong>, and the powerful Peruvian centre-forward Claudio Pizarro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since all three players have long retired from professional football, Electronic Arts has signed individual agreements directly with them, without involving their former club. This strongly suggests that the vote will simply determine who gets the Hero card first.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given that the publisher has most likely already secured the image rights for all three legends, the two who miss out in this poll are still expected to receive their own Hero card later in the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
