EA Sports and Ajax are introducing official headscans for the first team in FIFA 20. Ajax is the first Dutch club to introduce true-to-life faces in the game. The FIFA 20 virtual football game is played worldwide by millions of people.

In order to scan the players, a team from EA Sports, the developer of FIFA 20, was flown in from Vancouver, Canada. The Ajax players were photographed using hyper-modern photo equipment. 17 camera points and 17 flashes were used to create an extremely detailed animation.

Long-cherished wish

Having true-to-life faces in the game is a long-standing wish from many fans both here and abroad. After clubs such as Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United and Real Madrid, Ajax will be the first Dutch club to introduce this.
