Microsoft has revealed all the details of the Open Beta for the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, ahead of its launch on October 6, 2026, exclusively for Xbox Series X/S consoles and PC.
The open beta will feature an early access period reserved exclusively for players who pre-order Gears of War: E-Day.
Once the pre-order process is complete, players must open the games catalog on their platform and search for: Gears of War: E-Day Multiplayer Beta.
After downloading the beta, all that remains is to wait until August 6 to access the early preview. This testing phase will end on August 10.
The open beta will then become available to everyone on August 13 and will run until August 17. No pre-order of Gears of War: E-Day is required to participate in this phase.
The beta content will vary from one weekend to the next. Players taking part during the early access period will be able to experience the evolution of the PVE mode Horde Siege.

During the open beta available to all players, the 4v4 Versus mode, further refined for competitive play, will also be available alongside Horde Siege.
Everyone who participates in the Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta will receive rewards. To claim them, players will need to complete specific objectives that will be available throughout the beta testing period.
