EA has officially revealed Title Update 1.6.0 for EA FC 26. The twenty-two patch will be available to download starting Thursday, 28 May, across PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

The latest gameplay update introduces a series of important balancing changes and gameplay fixes designed to improve the overall experience across multiple modes. Among the most significant adjustments are new interception animations for elite defenders, a substantial nerf to the highly debated “Bruiser” playstyle, and major tweaks to CPU defensive pressure aimed at creating more freedom during attacking build-up phases.

Alongside gameplay balancing, the update also includes several fixes for popular modes such as Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Kick Off and Clubs, addressing issues that negatively impacted the flow and realism of matches.

When it comes to accessing the transfer market via the Web App and Companion App, things get a bit more complicated. We’ve covered all the details in the official guide published on our pages.

Not to be forgotten is the brand-new addition of FUT Champions Tokens for the popular Ultimate Team mode, allowing players to collect tokens and redeem special rewards based on their Weekend League finishes.

In addition, the Prime Heores has already been leaked, with the full list of players available at the following link.

Gameplay

Made the following changes:

Bruiser PlayStyle

  • Slightly reduced the boost to shoulder challenges from Bruiser and Bruiser+ PlayStyles.
  • Added a slight boost to the receiver of the shoulder challenge if they have Enforcer or Enforcer+.
  • The boost matches that of Bruiser or Bruiser+.
  • Improved shoulder challenge outcomes so stumble direction and force now better reflect the difference in Strength and PlayStyles between players.
  • Note that players with a clear Strength and PlayStyle advantage while defending are able to push the dribbler off the ball like before.
  • Players with a clear Strength and PlayStyle advantage while dribbling are now less likely to be pushed off the ball and have a better ability to recover.
  • Scaled shoulder challenge outcomes based on the Strength and PlayStyle boost difference between the dribbling player and defending player.
  • Improved detection of shoulder challenges from behind, canceling attempts that would hit an opponent in the back.

Intercept PlayStyle

  • Added the ability for players without the Intercept PlayStyle but with a 90+ Interceptions attribute rating to have access to the same animations as those with the PlayStyle.

Team Press

  • Reduced pressure on the ball carrier when Team Press is activated in the defensive half.
  • AI defenders will no longer double-team the ball carrier when the user-controlled defender is marking the ball carrier.
  • AI defenders will attempt to contain the ball carrier when the user-controlled defender is further away from the ball defender.
  • Reduced marking tightness of all AI opponents when Team Press is activated in the defensive half.
  • When Team Press is activated in the attacking half, AI defenders will continue to aggressively pressure the ball carrier, including contextually double-teaming when appropriate.
