After the announcement of the release of the next-gen version of FIFA 21 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S platforms set for next December 4th, the community has expressed concerns and doubts.
Many have wondered if it will be necessary to wait until December 4th to be able to play FIFA 21 on the next generation consoles. In this regard, the Canadian software house clarified the matter.

“For players that boot up FIFA 21 on next generation consoles in this time period, they will be experiencing the backward compatible versions of FIFA 21, with performance comparable to PS4 Pro (if playing on PS5), Xbox One S (if playing on Xbox Series S), and Xbox One X (if playing on Xbox Series X). This is the current generation version of the game, including all features and functionality. The next generation experience of FIFA 21 will be experienced from December 4th.”
From 4 December onwards, thanks to an update, the new FIFA 21 videogame experience will officially begin on the next gen platforms.
