A few hours ago the incredible news of the arrest of one of the most talented FIFA 21 Pro Players and a Manager of EA Sports has arrived from Mexico. This is not an arrest for the Prime Icon Moments scam a few weeks ago, but a decidedly surreal story.
Pro Player Rubén Zerecero and EA Sports Campaign Manager Christian Nieva traveled to Mexico City to undergo the Covid-19 vaccine and were arrested. It might seem strange but no, the two disguised themselves with wide overalls, hood and sunglasses pretending to be two elderly people. Eventually they even managed to get vaccinated, but when the police on duty realized that despite the coolness and the lack of light in the building, the two continued to keep both caps and sunglasses and they decided to verify what was happening.
After a verification of the documents, the police realized that Rubén Zerecero, who is 31, was not really the father he was trying to impersonate and that Christian Nieva, 35, was no longer his uncle of Zerecero himself. The two now face a sentence of 9 years imprisonment for falsifying documents, and face a further sentence of 4 to 8 years for appropriating the identity of other people.
The panic for the pandemic linked to Covid-19 makes them commit nonsense but in this case the two protagonists will soon regret having come up with this drama that will cost them a “stay” in Mexico’s prisons which are particularly rigid, in short, nothing vaguely comparable to a vacation.
