The FIFA Senior Game Designer Gilliard Lopes, during his usual podcast, released some interesting statements regarding the new football simulator of EA Sports FIFA 22.
In the Q&A with the FIFA community, one of the fans of the series asked for previews on the new chapter and the response of the head of the South American division was the following: “FIFA on Next Gen has already been released and we know that you are a little disappointed , but FIFA 22 will surprise you. At the moment I can’t tell you more. “
That FIFA 22 would have been developed entirely for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S platforms was obvious to everyone, but according to Gilliard’s statement it seems that the Canadian software house has focused all its development resources on Next Gen to ensure a astounding gaming experience to the community.
At this point what should you expect from FIFA 22 Old Gen? It will be a game very similar to the Next Gen version with some downgrades as already happened in the previous editions between one generation and another, or it will be a completely different game from the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S version with only some improvements compared to FIFA 21?
EA Sports shouldn’t have neglected the old gen a lot for two important reasons: The first is linked to the huge fan base that is continuing to play on PS4 which still guarantees a high number of copies sold. The second, perhaps less important but still relevant, is that the PS5, almost a year after marketing, are still hard to find.
EA Play is almost upon us, all that remains is to wait for the event scheduled for next 22 July to have confirmations on the advances released by the Senior Game Designer of EA Sports.
