According to what appears on the various social networks, a strange bug would allow the FUT Champions Weekend League cards to be put on Transfer Market. There are several screens that testify to this possibility.
It is not yet clear whether these FUT Champions Weekend League cards were obtained from the Division Rivals of the Players in the Elite Division or from those who have already completed the 20 matches of the FUT Champions. In fact, we remind you that from this year it is possible to redeem the rewards once all 20 matches of the Weekend League have been played.
At the moment EA Sports has not yet ruled on the situation. It is not yet clear whether it would concern only one gaming platform or even all of them. We are waiting for the update and we will not fail to update you on the strange story.
Update with official statement at 1:00 am 12 october:
“The rollout of the Player Picks to players that didn’t receive them from their FUT Champions FInals rewards has started. It will take some time for it to be completed for everyone.“
“FUT Champions Player Picks have been added back to the FUT Champions Finals rewards. Important note, they are now individually listed in the rewards instead of being shown in a stack in cases where a reward included multiple Player Picks. Players that claimed FUT Champions Finals rewards while the Player Picks were not available will be contacted in-game and receive the appropriate Items. This will likely take some time, so keep an eye on this thread for updates, which we will share once they are available.”
“Just wanted to provide some context into why this hasn’t been a ‘quick’ issue to resolve. First off, just to say it, a number of groups have been working to understand and resolve this since the initial issue was identified. Getting this sorted is a top priority. When we started investigating the initial issue, it took some time to reproduce and identify the actual problem. It was not just as simple as ‘All FUT Champions Player Picks are Tradable, so make them Untradable’. t ended up being something that only impacted certain Player Picks, which means that that the resolution needs to be more nuanced, and therefore, it’s more complex. For this particular issue, we have two different areas of focus. 1 – How do we get the Player Picks back up as soon as possible and get the Player Picks to the players that missed out on them when they claimed their rewards. 2 – How do we ensure that the issue is fully resolved for the future. One group is focused on #1, and another group is focused on #2. The aim of everyone working on this is to try to resolve it as quickly as possible, but no one wants to cut corners and potentially risk introducing new issues or not properly delivering a proper resolution to this one. Obviously, as a player, you just want things to work as you expect them to, and I get that…I want the same things you do! Just wanted to provide some visibility into why, sometimes, it can take a longer time to fix something that seems like it should be easy or quick. I hope we will have further updates later today (Vancouver, Canada time), but if not, we will circle back with an update Sunday morning (again, Vancouver time).”
