EA Sports, through a press release, informed the community that it has taken the decision to remove the Russian National Team and the Russian Clubs from FIFA 22. This decision comes following the painful events that took place in Ukraine in the last week.
It is not yet clear what will happen to Russian players in Ultimate Team such as the Yashin Icon. It appears that it will remain in the game at the moment, EA Sports reserves the right to make further changes.

“In line with our partners at FIFA and UEFA, EA SPORTS has initiated processes to remove The Russian National Team and all Russian Clubs from EA Sports FIFA Products including: FIFA 22, FIFA Mobile and FIFA Online. We’re also actively evaluating related changes to other areas of our games.”
