Further update. Unpublished cards have been shown. This would suggest that this would not be the upgrades. Tomorrow we will know more with official updates from EA!

Yesterday the EA posted an image that suggests the start of a new event on 18 January 2019 presumably at 18:00.
The details of this event are not yet clear. The most probable hypothesis is that from this date the Winter Upgrades will start. In fact, the references with arrows inside the released image seem very evident. If it were to be confirmed, however, it would be a clear advance of the event that the year will leave in late February. At this point we must expect the presence of a new event for that period.
The second hypothesis, more remote, is that there will be the release of new Record Breaker cards. in fact, the colors of the image seem to mirror those of this year’s dedicated paper. However, it would be hard to find a large number of players for this event as this type of card was given on very rare occasions to players who have established historical records. We just have to wait for more news and certainly do not wait to update you if there are any.
