It often happens that Dataminers digging into the game codes are able to find information, even important ones, which anticipate content that will soon be released. TOTY will be released on January 20th and in addition to the classic Promo, 2 new types of special cards may also arrive: TOTY ICON and Alternate Reality ICON.
Indeed, on Twitter FUT Scoreboard found two new lines of Special cards in the code with the following words: TOTY ICON and Alternate Reality ICON. In all likelihood, these new special cards will be released during the TOTY Promo. At the moment, however, it cannot be excluded that they may be cosmetic items that can be purchased in the Store.
If for the Alternative Reality ICON, it is very difficult to predict what kind of cards they might be, for the TOTY ICON instead it can be easier to make hypotheses.
In fact, TOTY ICONs could be Special cards dedicated to ICONS that have received a TOTY card in previous FUT. Indeed there are several players suitable for this:
- Lahm
- Xavi Alonso
- Xavi
- Vidic
- Casillas
- Gerrard
- Rooney
These potential TOTY ICON cards would be really interesting to give further importance to the most followed Promo of the year. In just over a week we will know if these TOTY ICONs are really coming to FIFA Ultimate Team. We just have to wait for official communications and we will not fail to update you.
