In the past few hours, some leakers have revealed a few of the cards that will be featured in the popular Ultimate Team mode of the highly anticipated football simulator EA Sports FC 25.
According to reports on social media, we can show what is expected to be the official design for the Rare Gold, Icons, Heroes, and TOTW Cards.
The Rare Gold card is a base version of the cards available each year at the launch of Ultimate Team mode. Usually, these cards are in the meta only during the first few weeks of the season, with rare exceptions such as cards of top players like Mbappe, Haaland, Salah, and other world football stars.
TOTW cards are special versions released weekly, based on playersโ performances during their league matches. Often, Team Of The Week cards are used for trading because they are highly demanded for SBC requirements released throughout the year. Similar to the rare gold version, there are exceptions for the most important playersโ cards in the database, making them particularly OP and widely used.
Icon and Heroโs cards are special cards released for players who have retired from competitions but have made significant contributions to the history of real football. According to recent rumors, former Juventus and Italian national team goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will be part of the official Icons roster available on day one.
The card design is very clean and colorful, with the hero cards, in particular, capturing the fansโ attention with their vibrant and cheerful mix of colors.
From a graphical standpoint, the Gold Card doesnโt seem to have undergone any significant changes. The color is confirmed, but the background design has changed. Regarding the size of the lower area of the card, it appears there is a return to the stats being displayed in two columns of three, unlike last year when the stats were listed in a row.
The Team Of The Week (TOTW) card retains the black color, and the Icon card confirms this yearโs color scheme. The only real revolution is the new Heroes card. The design and colors are very different, but at the moment, they seem a bit overdone.
