In an official statement published on its website, Konami has announced the end of its partnership with Bayern Munich. As a result, with the upcoming eFootball update scheduled for 26 June, all references to the German club will be removed from the football title.
This also means the Allianz Arena. the iconic stadium that hosts the reigning German champions’ home matches will no longer be available in the game.
The decision not to renew the agreement has sparked speculation that Bayern Munich may have signed an exclusive deal with EA Sports, potentially granting the American publisher full rights for the upcoming edition of EA FC 26.
If such an agreement is confirmed, EA may have obtained the rights to feature the Allianz Arena in EA FC 26 in addition to having the sole right to utilize the club’s name, official uniforms, and Badge.
