Yesterday, we published a detailed article explaining all the new features introduced in the popular Ultimate Team mode of the football simulator EA FC 26. Among the most important changes is undoubtedly the introduction of a new system designed to reward players who are consistent and play fairly.

In EA FC 26, if you’re in a match where the score is still level and, for any reason, your opponent decides to leave the game, you’ll now automatically be awarded the win.
But that’s not the only case. If your opponent chooses to quit the match by closing the game through their platform’s dashboard, you’ll still be granted the win. Last year, when a penalty was awarded, toxic players often exploited a bug that allowed them to quit the match without awarding the victory to their opponent. Now, this kind of behaviour will also result in a win for the player who remained.
However, one unclear situation still remains. Some of the most toxic players might try to turn off their console completely to quit the game, without going through the dashboard or properly exiting the match. In this specific case, the Ultimate Team servers might not register the quit, and as a result, may not award the victory.
Unfortunately, the Canadian studio has yet to clarify whether this scenario will also guarantee a win for the player left behind.
To get confirmation, we’ll have to wait for the game’s release or for an official statement from EA Sports. Stay tuned to our pages—we’ll continue to follow the story and make sure to keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available.
