With a short statement published on the official social media channels of football simulator EA FC 26, the Canadian studio has confirmed it is working on a fix for the infamous Kick Off Glitch.

Since the gameโ€™s launch, reports from the community have been countless. Many players have taken to the official EA FC 26 forum, while others have voiced their frustrations in Facebook groups. Criticism has also poured in on X and, above all, on Reddit.

The issue lies in the defensive phase of midfielders and defenders at kick-off, which is far too passive. This makes it all too easy to score by bypassing the CPUโ€™s weak challenges. As a result, at the start of a match, the second half, or right after a goal has been scored, the chances of netting almost immediately are extremely high.

Electronic Arts has announced it will release an update in the early days of October to finally tackle this frustrating bug, one that has lingered across several editions of the Canadian studioโ€™s football simulator.

Weโ€™ll keep following the story closely and will make sure to update you as soon as the patch becomes available for download.
