In EA Sports FC 25, a new system called FC IQ has been introduced, replacing the outdated work rate and ensuring a vast array of player technical characteristics.
Firstly, it’s important to clarify that each player will now make different movements and adopt different behaviours on the pitch depending on whether their team has possession of the ball or is defending against the opponent’s attacks.
With the introduction of this new system, each player will have specific technical and tactical attributes. The technical attributes are linked to the movements and spaces they will cover on the pitch, while the tactical attributes relate to the understanding and interpretation of the role in which you place a player.
In the Ultimate Team mode, every card, in addition to the updated and revised playstyles, will have one or more technical attributes and specific knowledge of one or more roles.
Each Technical Attribute will be associated with specific Role Familiarity, which is crucial for ensuring the player performs to the best of their abilities. If the Role Familiarity is Basic, the player will be an average performer in that role; however, if it is Plus Plus, you will have a true star in your team.
At the moment, these two new features might cause some confusion, but once you try the game and get accustomed to the new mechanisms, everything will become extremely easy, and you will quickly be able to identify the players who can recreate your preferred style of team play.
