As is tradition every August, Electronic Arts begins sending out codes for access to the EA FC 26 Closed Beta, giving selected players the opportunity to try out the new football simulator ahead of its official release. These playtests usually kick off within the first 10 days of the month and wrap up during the first week of September.
How to Get Invited to the Closed Beta
To be in with a chance of receiving a Beta code via email, you’ll need to give EA permission to contact you. Here’s how to do it:
- Go to your EA profile (here’s the link).
- Log in with your credentials.
- From the menu on the left, click on Communications Preferences.
- Tick the box that allows EA to send you info about products, news, events, and promotions.
- Under frequency, choose “any time”.
Next, under the favourite games section, make sure you select EA Sports FC from the menu, and then choose your preferred platforms. Finally, hit the Update button to save your changes.

Due to the limited number of spots available in the Closed Beta, not everyone will receive a code. EA Advisors won’t be able to provide additional codes if you don’t get selected.
Your Beta code is strictly personal – it can only be used on the EA Account that receives the invite. It cannot be transferred to another account or shared with others.
Each code grants access to Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and Clubs. Please keep in mind that any progress achieved during the Beta will not be carried over to the final version of the game.

Everyone who obtains an invitation to the EA FC 26 Closed Beta will also have access to a special part of EA’s official forum. This is where you can report errors, provide feedback, and discuss potential improvements that could be included before the final release.
