The first EA FC 26 trailer has revealed a wealth of information about the new gameplay, release date, pre-order bonuses, and much more.
According to details shared by the software house, gameplay in the latest instalment of the EA FC football simulator will be completely overhauled. Players will be able to tailor their experience by choosing between modes that offer either a more arcade-like feel or a more realistic approach.
Goalkeeper positioning has been improved, allowing for more natural reactions. Player animations are now more lifelike, and with new playing styles and roles, those deployed on the pitch will provide greater flexibility in shaping a team’s style of play in line with individual footballing philosophies.
In EA FC 26, there will be two settings: competitive and Authentic. The competitive mode is optimised for Ultimate Team and Clubs, featuring faster passing and more direct ball control. The Authentic mode, which delivers a more authentic football experience, will be available in Career mode.
As for Ultimate Team, both Rivals and the Champions Weekend League have been revamped — but they won’t be the only competitions. New tournaments with up to four knockout rounds will be introduced, alongside numerous Live Events, bringing unprecedented variety to the game.
Additionally, weekend competitions will be introduced for the lower Rivals divisions, helping to level the playing field across all Ultimate Team competitions.

Clubs and Career modes have also been enhanced, though no specific details have been released just yet. All new features will be unveiled in the lead-up to the launch of EA FC 26.
But that’s not all — EA FC 26 promises unparalleled realism, with over 20,000 additional players, 750 international clubs, 120 stadiums, national teams, and more than 35 licensed leagues. Of course, the exclusive European competitions — including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Europa Conference League — will also be featured.
