Electronic Arts has announced that, as part of the brand-new Joga Bonito promo, it will be releasing three new Heroes for the popular Ultimate Team mode in the football simulator EA FC 26.

For now, the Canadian studio hasn’t revealed the names of the players who will receive the special Joga Bonito card, but it has shared a series of clues that may help us make some predictions.

The player at the centre of the image shown at the end of the article could well be the former Argentine playmaker Pablo Aimar, who was famously nicknamed “El Mago”. In the teaser, the caricature is wearing a top hat and appears to be floating mid-air on a magic carpet.

The player on the right has the number 9 on his chest, suggesting he is a striker. The caricature’s features hint at a former footballer with African or Brazilian physical traits. Among players who fit that description, Adriano immediately comes to mind, but he was known as “The Emperor”, so the silhouette doesn’t quite match.

This figure instead appears to have a more slender build, paired with a sort of “superpower” that makes him look extremely agile, characteristics that could point towards former AC Milan forward George Weah. As for the female player on the left, she is much harder to identify, as she lacks any particularly distinctive traits aside from very long hair. According to online speculation, many believe she could be Louisa Nécib, the former French national team midfielder.
