Electronic Arts has announced that voting will open on Wednesday, 7 January, to decide the 11 players of the Team of the Year (TOTY) for the hugely popular Ultimate Team mode in EA FC 26.
The Team of the Year has arrived. Discover the stars of the beautiful game who have been shortlisted for a place in this year’s starting eleven, including the best female players nominated for the EA Sports FC Women’s Team of the Year, and get ready to vote for both the men’s and women’s TOTY on 7 January.
The Teams of the Year will be revealed shortly after voting closes, and the special TOTY player cards will feature some of the highest ratings of the entire EA FC 26 season.
The Team of the Year is made up of the players who proved themselves to be the very best in the world over the last competitive season and represents the strongest and most coveted cards within the community. Voting will begin on 7 January at 5:00 PM CET, giving players the chance to carefully choose who they believe deserves a place in the final TOTY squad.
The Team of the Year will be announced on a date yet to be confirmed, with special TOTY player items, boasting some of the highest ratings of the season, released in Ultimate Team to celebrate the world’s best footballers as voted by the public.
On 7 January, help the Canadian software house, via the official page, decide which of the stars of the beautiful game — including the top female players nominated for the first-ever EA Sports FC Women’s Team of the Year — will earn a place in the men’s and women’s TOTY.

Join fans from around the world in celebrating the best in football by helping to choose the fans’ teams two world-class squads from across Men’s and Women’s football over the last calendar year. This year also introduces the Men’s and Women’s Captain, awarded to the standout performer on the pitch across both men’s and women’s XIs. The final Team of the Year XIs will be announced shortly after the vote concludes, with special TOTY Player Items released into EA SPORTS FC 26 and FC Mobile to celebrate each player’s status as a fan favourite.
