EA Sports has officially unveiled the EA FC 26 Team of the Year (TOTY) for both Men’s and Women’s Ultimate Team, confirming the full release schedule, voting dates and all special cards included in one of the biggest promos of the year.

The EA FC 26 TOTY event celebrates the standout footballers of 2025 with some of the most powerful and sought-after cards in Ultimate Team.

TOTY Honourable Mentions and Icons Confirmed

Alongside the Men’s and Women’s TOTY Final XIs, EA Sports has confirmed the return of TOTY Honourable Mentions, recognising elite players from 2025 who narrowly missed out on selection.

Also making a comeback are TOTY Icons, special Ultimate Team items celebrating the legendary careers of some of the greatest players in football history. These will be released across two separate Icon teams.

Free Hero Upgrade for Ultimate Team Players

Players who logged into EA Sports FC 26 Ultimate Team between 12 December and 12 January will receive a free in-game upgrade. Their Classic XI Hero card will automatically be upgraded to a TOTY Honourable Mention Hero, rewarding active players ahead of the promo.

EA FC 26 TOTY 12th Player Voting (UK Times)

Voting for the 12th Men’s and Women’s TOTY players will take place during the following window (UK time):

  • Opens: 17 January at 6:00 PM GMT
  • Closes: 20 January at 5:59 PM GMT

Votes can be cast via the EA FC 26 in-game menus on console and PC, as well as through the EA FC Companion App, allowing fans to choose one additional standout player based on performances throughout 2025.

EA FC 26 TOTY Release Schedule (UK)

TOTY cards will be added to Ultimate Team packs in stages, split by position:

  • TOTY Attackers – 16–18 January
  • TOTY Midfielders – 18–20 January
  • TOTY Defenders & Goalkeepers – 20–22 January

TOTY Icons, Full Teams and Honourable Mentions Availability

All TOTY-related items will be available in Ultimate Team packs during the following periods:

  • TOTY Icons Team 1 – 16–20 January
  • TOTY Icons Team 2 – 20–23 January
  • Full TOTY XI (Men’s & Women’s) – 22–30 January
  • TOTY Honourable Mentions & 12th Players – 23–30 January
