Federal judge Marcelo Gota has issued a ruling that โ€œordersโ€ EA Sports to remove all references of Diego Armando Maradana from the FIFA series.

The close legal diatribe that is taking place for the control of image rights and the legacy of Diego Armando Maradona also involves Electronic Arts.

The Argentine court agreed with Sattvicaโ€™s lawyers, consequently issuing a sentence with the โ€œrequest to the companies concerned to refrain from using the trademark on their interactive content distribution platforms, such as FIFA 22, FIFA Ultimate Team, FIFA Street, FIFA World Class Soccer, Football Manager and as EAโ€™s Ultimate Player โ€œ, at the same time as the immediate conclusion of any advertising activity linked to Maradonaโ€™s IP.
