FIFA 21 was developed between the transition from the current gen consoles to the new generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. have been forced to face some problems that have undermined the gaming experience.
The communcity expected a title that could finally satisfy everyone’s needs, but after a promising start EA Sports for a few months was unable to find the right balance. After the first patches we immediately noticed that one module in particular, the 442, gave considerable advantages over all the others, guaranteeing a solid defensive phase and a deadly offensive phase, especially on the counterattack.
The tactic issue was not the only problem of the gameplay of FIFA 21, at some point of the season some skills appeared OP (overpower) and all the gamers began to abuse them to the point that instead of attending football matches it was almost like watching circus performances with an infinite series of skills that started from within one’s own penalty area until reaching the conclusion.
With the latest corrective patches the skills have been heavily nerfed but at the same time there has been an increase in auto block by the CPU in the defensive phase so as to make the 532 module an almost impregnable bunker.
FIFA 22 unlike FIFA 21 was developed for Next Gen consoles and thanks to the power of these machines, the Canadian software house should have had the opportunity to make substantial improvements to the gameplay of the new football simulator.
At the moment, however, the only certainty is that we will be able to admire an evident improvement in the graphics sector and lights. To understand what path EA has taken in the development of FIFA 22 we will have to wait a few months before being able to try it pad in hand.
