EA Sports, through a press release, revealed the official details about the new FUT Birthday event in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
The FUT Birthday party has begun
Celebrate 14 years of FUT with fan favourites from years past and 5* Skill Move or Weak Foot upgrades abound—even for the brand new FUT Birthday ICONs. Plus play towards FUT Birthday Player Items and rewards with a FUT Birthday Swaps Program that allows you to exchange Swap Tokens for a variety of upgrades for your Ultimate Team.
FUT Birthday ICONs
FUT Birthday is gifting select ICONs with 5* Skill Move or Weak Foot upgrades. Each FUT Birthday ICON reimagines what the player was like in their prime, giving their OVR a permanent upgrade in addition to that new ability to excel with both feet or excite with new skills.
Twin Upgrades Mini-Release
FUT Birthday Twin Upgrades bring two versions of the same Player Item to the Ultimate Team pool of available pack items at the same time—one with 5* Skill Moves and one with 5* Weak Foot—each that suits different squad building needs and styles of play. Keep an eye out for FUT Birthday Twin Upgrade Player Items in the Mini-Release and learn more in the FAQ tab.
Will Base versions of Player Items in the Twin Upgrades Mini Release also be in the pool of available pack items after the Mini Release?
No, Campaign versions of Player Items replace the Base version in the pool during the Campaign.
How will I know if my FUT Birthday Player Item has a Twin Upgrade?
FUT Birthday Player Items with Twin Upgrades will have the ♊︎ Symbol above their OVR.

What if a FUT Birthday Twin Player item receives a TOTW item?
Similar to other campaigns, the TOTW version will not be available in the Ultimate Team pool of available items until the two FUT Birthday Twin Player Items are out of the pool.
