Today, Saturday 21 March, an extraordinary maintenance operation is underway on the servers hosting the PlayStation Network for both PS5 and PS4 platforms.

Technicians have started this intervention to fix an issue that is currently preventing users from connecting to PSN. As a result, it’s not possible to access the online modes of any video games.

While this maintenance is in progress, the servers will remain offline, which means other online features may also be unavailable.

At the moment, no timeframe has been provided, so it’s unclear how long Sony’s technicians will need to fully restore the service.

We’ll keep a close eye on the situation and make sure to update you as soon as the company releases any new official statement.
