The Champions Weekend League mode in EA Sports FC 25′s Ultimate Team has been completely revamped to ensure balanced access to the Finals and increase the level of competitiveness. In addition, All Rewards for each rank in the Finals have also been revealed.
The Play-Offs phase has also undergone significant changes, as have the number of wins and ranks, which will now provide more substantial rewards compared to the past.
In FC 25, the Champions Weekend League has become the pinnacle of high-level competitive matches, with rewards and accessibility to the competition both adjusted. Last year, the Champions Finals were easily accessible, especially for less experienced players.
As a result, many players suffered a large number of losses, and the Champions rewards were not reflective of the results achieved. This year, the Champions League will be more challenging and rewarding for more competitive players.
Champions Weekend League Play-Offs
To qualify for the Champions Finals, the weekly Play-Offs will be less crucial. In FC 25, the number of matches required to qualify for the Finals has been reduced to 3 wins out of 5, compared to 4 out of 10 in FC 24. Reducing the number of matches will make each Play-Off match more competitive while ensuring a more balanced experience:
- For players of a higher skill level, it’ll make the process of qualifying for Finals faster.
- For players of a lower skill level, it’ll make Play-offs a better reflection of your Finals experience, ensuring that you’ll only qualify for Champions Finals once you are ready to be competitive.
To facilitate this, the first Play-Off qualification will be more challenging than in FC 24. For players in lower Rivals Divisions, qualifying for the Play-Offs will be a significant milestone, while players in higher Divisions will have consistent weekly access to the Play-Offs. Additionally, because the Play-Offs will be more difficult than last year, there will be 10 extra attempts to qualify by playing Play-Offs each season, bringing the total number of seasonal entries to 18.

The changes to the Play-Offs will result in a higher average skill level among players in the Finals. With this overall increase in the level of competition, placements in the Champions Weekend League Finals will offer significantly better rewards compared to FC 24.
Moreover, stronger players will have the chance to showcase their in-game achievements. One way to do this will be through exclusive Club customisation options, available only to those who achieve the highest ranks in the Champions Finals. In Season 1, the following rewards will be available:
- Club Nickname: “Invincibles” (Rank 1 Exclusive)
- Celebration: “Flex” (Ranks 1-3 Exclusive)
As with the Play-Offs, the total number of matches in the Finals has been reduced by 5, which will increase the importance of each match and reduce the time required to complete a Champions session.
The points system in the Champions Finals has also been simplified to make it easier to understand what is needed to reach a specific rank. Each win will earn 1 point, while losses will not earn any points. The ranks for Season 1 of FC 25 will be:
- Rank 1: 15 wins | 15 Points
- Rank 2: 13 wins | 13 Points
- Rank 3: 11 wins | 11 Points
- Rank 4: 10 wins | 10 Points
- Rank 5: 9 wins | 9 Points
- Rank 6: 8 wins | 8 Points
- Rank 7: 7 wins | 7 Points
- Rank 8: 6 wins | 6 Points
- Rank 9: 4 wins | 4 Points
- Rank 10: 2 wins | 2 Points
