Electronic Arts has officially announced the return of Diego Armando Maradona’s Icon card for the popular Ultimate Team mode in the football simulator EA FC 25.
The card was previously removed due to issues surrounding the succession of the Argentine forward’s image rights. However, after nearly three years, it will finally be available again.
As confirmed by the Canadian software house, the card will be obtainable in Ultimate Team packs starting at 6 PM on Friday, 14 February, coinciding with the launch of the brand-new Grassroots Greats promo.
At this time, Electronic Arts has not disclosed either the overall rating or the official stats of the former Napoli striker’s new card. The announcement was accompanied only by an image featuring the EA FC 25 logo, which we have included at the end of this article.
