Just moments ago, Take-Two released a new trailer showcasing the gameplay of the highly anticipated NBA 2K27. Letโ€™s take a look at the main new features introduced in the latest installment of the series.

The video highlights a significant graphical improvement, recreating the unique atmosphere that only NBA and WNBA arenas can deliver to basketball fans.

As expected, the trailer also features all of the NBA 2K27 cover athletes, including stars such as Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark, and Derrick Rose.

A careful review of community feedback played a significant role in the development of NBA 2K27 and in shaping its key new features. Full details will be revealed on August 18 during the Preseason Breakdown: NBA 2K27 Game Reveal.

The broadcast will showcase this yearโ€™s most anticipated innovations, new features, gameplay improvements, and all the major details about NBA 2K27.

Gameplay: Developed to deliver a more balanced experience, the updated defensive AI will contest shots more effectively and maintain better positioning in modes such as The REC. In addition, a brand-new fully dynamic Dunk Meter will continuously evaluate defensive positioning from takeoff through the completion of the dunk.

MyPLAYER Builder: NBA 2K27 increases the total number of Badges from 40 to 53 and introduces 19 brand-new Badges, encouraging players to experiment and create unique builds. More details about the new Badges will be shared at a later date. Cap Breakers also return and, following community feedback, their attribute bonuses can now be previewed directly within the Builder.

MyTEAM: For the first time in franchise history, the Auction House will be unified across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, creating the largest community-driven card marketplace ever seen in MyTEAM. This will provide players with greater variety and more opportunities to find cards at more consistent prices. In addition, after winning an auction, players will no longer have to wait for verification, as purchased cards will be added to their collection immediately.

MyNBA: With a focus on making the mode even more authentic, the latest updates include several highly requested community features designed to reflect the current state of the league, such as salary cap implications related to the second apron introduced under the new CBA and the ability to offer no-trade clauses to free agents. These are just some of the many new additions coming to the mode.

MyCAREER & The City: The city lights fade, giving way to a new nighttime aesthetic illuminated by neon signs. The community responded positively to last yearโ€™s layout of The City and, based on player feedback, its central structure will remain unchanged, allowing the development team to focus on refining the areas where players compete. In addition, the legendary Rucker Park has been faithfully recreated and will serve as the setting for this yearโ€™s MyCAREER introductory story, โ€œFire & Concrete,โ€ while also appearing in the Street Kings mode.

NBA 2K27 is scheduled to launch on September 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned to our website and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more news and updates.
