EA Sports has officially confirmed a major quality-of-life change coming to Ultimate Team in EA FC 26. Following the release of the 1.6.0 update, titled The World’s Game, players will soon be able to undo or completely reset Evolutions applied to cards inside their Club.
The highly requested feature will go live on 4 June 2026, as part of a server-side release connected to the latest update.
For the first time since Evolutions were introduced, Ultimate Team users will have the option to roll back the last Evolution applied to a player or fully reset the card to its original version.
Tradable Cards Will Become Sellable Again After Reset
One of the biggest changes concerns tradable Ultimate Team cards.
EA Sports confirmed that if a player card was originally tradable before receiving an Evolution upgrade, resetting the Evolution will restore the card’s tradable status. This means users will once again be able to list those cards on the Transfer Market.
The change addresses one of the community’s biggest frustrations during the FUT Birthday promotion earlier this year.
FUT Birthday Evolutions Created Major Market Issues
During the FUT Birthday Bakery Evolutions campaign, many players discovered that tradable cards lost their market value after Evolutions were applied.
Cards packed from Ultimate Team rewards or purchased from the Transfer Market became permanently untradeable once upgraded with additional PlayStyles or Evolution boosts. As a result, users were unable to resell players they no longer wanted in their squads.
The issue generated widespread criticism across social media and the Ultimate Team community, with many players asking EA to introduce a reversal system.
EA Sports Responds to Community Feedback
In its official communication, EA Sports explained that the new Evolution reset system was created directly in response to community feedback.
According to the developer, previous Evolution updates were designed to reduce the pressure of selecting the “perfect” player for each upgrade path. The new Evo Undo feature now aims to remove the fear of making the wrong Evolution choice altogether.
When it comes to accessing the transfer market via the Web App and Companion App, things get a bit more complicated. We’ve covered all the details in the official guide published on our pages.
PlayStyle Experimentation Was a Key Factor
EA also acknowledged that allowing players to experiment freely with PlayStyles became increasingly important during FUT Birthday.
The company admitted that the lack of an undo system prevented users from testing new Evolution combinations without risking the long-term value of their tradable cards.
With the new reset option arriving in June, Ultimate Team players will finally be able to try different Evolution paths and still retain the flexibility to sell cards later if they no longer fit their squads.
In addition, the Ultimate TOTS has already been leaked, with the full list of players available at the following link.
When Will Evo Undo Be Available in EA FC 26?
The Evolution rollback and full reset system will become available from 4 June 2026 through a server update linked to the World’s Game title update.
The feature is expected to become one of the most impactful Ultimate Team changes ahead of the summer content cycle, especially for players actively trading cards on the market.
What the New Evolution Reset Feature Means for Ultimate Team
The addition of Evo Undo could significantly change how Ultimate Team users approach Evolutions in EA FC 26.
Players will now have more freedom to experiment with upgrades, PlayStyles and promo cards without permanently locking valuable assets into untradeable versions.
For many in the community, this update represents one of the most important Ultimate Team quality-of-life improvements introduced this year.
