Following the announcement of the Ultimate Edition cover star for the new football simulator, EA FC 27, several promotional videos were released on social media. One of them offered fans their first look at the brand-new Walkout animation.
When opening a pack in Ultimate Team, players are used to seeing a special animation whenever they pack a card with a high Overall (OVR) rating, revealing the player in dramatic fashion.
Compared to previous editions, the Walkout animation has been significantly redesigned and introduces several new elements. One of the most noticeable additions is a green gem that appears at the bottom of the screen during the final moments of the animation, just before the player walks out.
At the time of writing, Electronic Arts has not released any official statement regarding this feature. However, according to the latest reports circulating online, the new element could be an entirely new mechanic linked to Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) that will be introduced in Ultimate Team 27.
The animation has also been enhanced with impressive lighting effects and drones that move across the screen, revealing the player’s nationality and primary position before the full card is unveiled.
As a reminder, the official EA FC 27 Reveal Trailer will premiere tomorrow at 6:00pm CEST on YouTube. It is also expected that all available editions of the game, along with their respective pre-order bonuses, will be officially revealed.
