In an official press release shared with the media and across its social media channels, Electronic Arts announced the player who will appear on the cover of the Ultimate Edition of its upcoming football simulation title, EA Sports FC 27. Below is the full statement released by the Canadian publisher.
Earlier today, Electronic Arts confirmed that Real Madrid and France forward Kylian Mbappé will be the cover star of the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 27.
This is not the first time the French international has featured on the cover of the franchise. Four years after his previous appearance, Mbappé returns as the face of the latest instalment of the popular football simulation series.
“Being featured on the cover of an EA Sports FC title once again is a truly special moment for me,” said Kylian Mbappé. “It is an honour to continue my relationship with the franchise in this new chapter, alongside the players who have helped shape the history of this video game. I can’t wait for everyone to experience FC 27.”

During his time at Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappé finished as LaLiga EA Sports’ top scorer for two consecutive seasons. He also won the UEFA Champions League Golden Boot in the 2025/26 campaign after scoring 15 goals during the competition.
The French superstar also proved his world-class quality on the international stage, finishing as the top scorer at the recently concluded FIFA World Cup while representing France.
The announcement of Mbappé as the face of EA Sports FC 27 is only the beginning of a series of upcoming reveals. These include the release of the game’s official reveal trailer, which will premiere on YouTube on Thursday, 23 July at 5:00 pm.
