An interview granted to everyeye, EA Sports’s Tyler Blair Creative Director has released important statements regarding the FUT Champions Weekend League that we will find again of FIFA 19 Ultimate Team.
As for the FUT Champions Weekend League, will they continue to be 40 matches to play in 3 days? Or have you opted for some changes?
Tyler Blair: “There will always be forty in three days, but there is a good reason for this decision: for the competitive circuit to function at its best we need players, including pro players, to be all concentrated in a short period of time and If we lengthen the time, there would be dispersion of players, so more chances that the pro players will not meet, and that’s what we do not want to happen. In the same way, if the games decreased it would be very difficult to create an accurate classification of the the best players in the world, because there are players who lose 1 or 2 games out of 160.
We know that there will be lots of games to play, but we hope that with the introduction of the Division Rivals and its rewards, users will still feel well rewarded for their hours of play, even if they can not complete the Weekend League. This is also why we decided to combine the progress made during the Weekend League with those achieved in the Division Rivals. This means that every game played among the 40 available on the weekend will also be counted in the weekly competition, so as to lighten the load of games to be played against the most competitive players “.
