Is the POTM for the Bundesliga coming up on FIFA 19?

Pree Release:

The official “Player of the Month” award is being introduced to the Bundesliga for the first time. The new award has been created by DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga in cooperation with the Bundesliga’s official licence partner, EA SPORTS FIFA 19. It will be awarded in a two-stage selection process that will consider both the players’ individual performance data and a vote by fans and experts. The honour will be bestowed for the first time in October in recognition of achievements in September.

In the first stage, the six Bundesliga players with the best individual performance data are identified each month. The selection is based on the extensive live data gathered by the DFL subsidiary Sportec Solutions for every Bundesliga match. The “Player of the Month” shortlist is compiled according to around 20 criteria, including the number of goals scored, goal assists and the tackling rate of the individual players.

In the second stage, one of the six nominees chosen according to objective performance criteria will be voted “Player of the Month”. Votes can be cast by the team captains of the 18 Bundesliga clubs (30 percent vote share), a select panel of experts comprising Bundesliga legends and media representatives (30 percent) and fans from all over the world, who have the largest share in the vote (40 percent). Bundesliga fans can cast their votes directly via the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 website (https://bundesligapotm.easports.com) and can thus honour the performance of the Bundesliga player who impressed them the most.

The start of each vote will be announced on the social media channels and websites of the Bundesliga and EA SPORTS. The vote from among the six candidates for the month of September will begin at noon tomorrow, Wednesday.

FIFA 19 is available on September 28, 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch. Keep on following us also through our social Facebook and Twitter for other news and information.
