EA Sports has recently released a note to clarify some details regarding the StoryLine cards (Es. Zaha) and the League Player cards (Es. Politano).

League Player cards are dynamic (which we erroneously called StoryLine deceived by card graphics) and can receive upgrades during the season, while StoryLine cards are static and therefore will not receive upgrades during the season.
