There seems to be no peace for the FIFA series cover stars. After the scandal of the Portuguese champion Cristiano Ronaldo (FIFA 19), now the Brazilian champion Neymar (FIFA 20) is accused of rape.
According to what was reported by Folha De S.Paulo, the cover on the Playstation Store was disclosed following the marketing provisions of Electronic Arts, but later it is not officially presented during the EA Play 2019 as EA Sports would be reflecting on the eventual exclusion of the Brazilian PSG striker.
The same creator of the illustration, Cristiano Siqueira, said he only learned last month that the work, commissioned by the Five Design agency, would later become the world cover of the FIFA 20.
Neymar in the days following the accusations, through his own social media, has divulged several evidences that seem to exonerate him completely. The competent authorities are still investigating the people involved.
